The St. Cloud Greater Osceola Chamber of Commerce is seeking its next President & Chief Executive Officer to lead a respected, community-focused organization serving one of Central Florida's fastest growing regions.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys building relationships, collaborating with community partners, and helping local businesses succeed. The next CEO will build on a strong foundation while helping shape the Chamber's future.
About the Role
The CEO serves as the chief executive and primary spokesperson for the Chamber and works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, members and community leaders. The position blends strategic leadership, community engagement, operations, and advocacy.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused, collaborative leader who is also forward-thinking and a strategic decision maker.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the public face and ambassador of the Chamber
Build strong relationships with business leaders, elected officials and community organizations.
Lead membership growth, retention, and engagement.
Implement the Chamber's strategic priorities in partnership with the Board of Directors.
Oversee staff, programs, and day-to-day operations.
Guide advocacy and business support initiatives.
Manage organizational budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue development.
Develop sponsorships, partnerships, and new opportunities that support long-term sustainability.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should have executive or senior leadership experience in a Chamber of Commerce, nonprofit, association, economic development organization, or similar environment and experience working with a Board of Directors. Strong communications and public speaking skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders are essential. Candidates should be strategic thinkers able to balance daily operations with long-term planning.
A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience is acceptable.
Familiarity with business, government, or economic development is helpful, as is experience in a membership organization. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are helpful but not required.
Work Experience
This full-time leadership role requires active community involvement, including some evening and occasional weekend events. Some domestic travel is expected. The position also requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds in support of events and operations.
